Beautiful deep indigo blue pea like blooms on a more erect flowering stalk than other Baptisias. Native Americans and early settlers used the plant for a dye although not as striking as true indigo. Large, dark seed pods make a good addition to dried arrangements. Blooms from May through July. Reaches a height of 3-5ft tall. Texas Native.
